YOUR PORTFOLIO
As a model, your portfolio is the most important advertisement you can
have. It represents you when you cannot be there in person. AND, most
importantly, it is the one document that is used to determine whether to
hire you or not.
An agent looking to hire someone, will make a decision
based on their portfolio. Success in modeling begins with an awesome
portfolio.
Here are some tips to consider when building a portfolio:
1. Bigger is NOT always better. Aim for 10-15 excellent photos. The minimum should be 3.
2. Each photo should show you in different clothing, and in different poses.
3. Photos should show at least one of your full figure, and one headshot.
4. Do NOT post a snapshot or a selfie. There are many good photographers who can produce a professional photo of you.
5. Don't let your portfolio get old. Keep posing and replacing old photos with newer, better ones.
